I believe Richard Nixon is one the greatest men in recent history. Some claim he is a lying hate-monger. This may be true, but he defused more violent situations in the world than any other president. Sure, he lied, but would you rather have a lying drug abuser, like JFK, a lying war-monger, like LBJ, a lying womanizer, like Clinton, or a lying peacemaker, like Nixon?
Now, who did Nixon hate? Did he hate blacks? No, he praised them for their industrious nature and hatred of Communism. Did he hate women? No, he accepted women as his equals throughout his life. Who did he hate, then? I believe this quote explains it all.
